1. Access the menu section
- Log into the NOQ Backend Portal.
- Navigate to Products > Menus.
2. Either when you are creating the menu or editing the menu set up, select the toggle at the bottom left of the screen 'Menu Access Verification'.
3. Once this has been toggled on you can create your QR codes. Multiple QR codes can be created and distributed to different groups based on when you would like this specific menu to be used.
4. Once you have named your QR codes, save the menu at the top right of the screen and your QR codes can be downloaded from the previous section.
5. Once you have added your menu to your store this will now show on your terminal in the menu drop down. If you have toggled on QR codes for one of your menus this will show with a 'Lock' icon. This means this menu can only be used if the correct QR code has been scanned of it the pin used to log in has the permission to change the menu.
6. Once you are presented with a QR code to scan, simply select the menu from the drop down and the terminal camera will open to scan the QR code.
7. You will notice the QR code menu is presented with a yellow banner to showcase you are in this menu. Once you have completed your transaction the menu will be reverted to the original menu.
FAQ
- I don't want this menu to be accessed by QR code anymore - Simply remove the QR code from the menu creation screen.
- I need to add more QR codes - Within the menu creation, add a new QR code, save and you can download the new QR code
- What user permission is needed to switch menu manually - When creating your staff members, ensure that they have the 'menu switch' permission to access QR based menus when selecting it from the drop down on your terminal.
