Setting up your Cloud Printer

This article will show you how to set up your cloud printer through a LAN cable and a Wifi module. 

Setting up your cloud printer will require you to download the 'Star Quick Set Up Utility' app on your phone or tablet. This can be downloaded from any app/play store. 

Is your printer connected to a LAN cable? Use the guidelines below. 

  • Connect your phone (the device you are using the Star Quick Set Up app on) to the same wifi network as the LAN cable going into your printer. 
  • Plug in your Star Printer and follow the instructions below: 
  1. Plug in your hardline cable into the back of the Star printer 
  2. Open your StarQuick Setup app
  3. Click: Start Guide (Initial Settings) 
  4. Click: Search Printer (This will search for the closest printer on the same network)
  5. Click: Select the printer that appears on the screen. If you are setting up multiple printers, do one at a time. 
    1. If your printer does not show up them the network on your phone is NOT the same network as the LAN cable plugged into your printer. 
  6. Click: Printer Settings 
  7. Click: Star Cloud Print Settings - This will provide a pop up on your screen to insert a username and password. 
    1. Username: public 
    2. Password: public 
    3. If you are asked to update the password, please reinsert the log in details above to avoid any confusion. 
  8. Wait for the printer to connect (1-2 minutes) - Your printer will make a noise! 
  9. Toggle on the cloud URL set up 
  10. Enter: Enter the Printer URL (this will be provided by your NOQ account manager)
  11. Click: Apply at the bottom of the page 
  12. Click: YES 
  13. Wait: Let this load and there will be a ‘Success’ pop up 
  14. Move onto your EPOS Tablet or terminal 
  15. Click: The three horizontal lines at the top of the tablet/EPOS 
  16. Click: Device Settings 
  17. Click: Printers & Cash Drawers 
  18. Select: Using the printer drop down select Cloud 
  19. Click: Search for printers 
  20. Select: Using the drop down select the printer name (this will be given to you by your NOQ account manager) 
  21. TEST PRINT 

Is your printer connected to a WIFI Module? Use the guidelines below. 

  • Connect your phone (the device you are using the Star Quick Set Up app on) to the same wifi network that you would like the printer to use. 
  • Plug in your Star Printer and follow the instructions below: 
  1. Plug in your Wireless Lan Box to the back of the printer (1 x ethernet cable 1 x USB) 
  2. Open your StarQuick Setup app 
  3. Click: Start Guid (Initial Settings) 
  4. Click: Use Star Wireless Lan Unit 
  5. Reset: Hold down the reset button on the Wireless LAN box until it starts flashing 
  6. Wait: Allow the lights on the Wireless LAN box to be 
    1. Solid Light 
    2. Blinking Light 
    3. Solid Light 
    4. OFF
  7. Click: Proceed through the set up stages and click 'Wireless LAN Unit Set up 
  8. Here you will see the wifi name you have connected your phone to
  9. Insert: WIFI password 
  10. Select: Apply
  11. Click: Search Printer (This will search for the closest printer on the same network)
  12. Click: Select the printer that appears on the screen. If you are setting up multiple printers, do one at a time 
  13. Click: Printer Settings 
  14. Click: Star Cloud Print Settings - This will provide a pop up on your screen to insert a username and password. 
    1. Username: public
